Grandparents Make Great Franchisees!
While many Kiddie Academy franchises are started by working parents, a growing number are also opened by grandparents. Who better to know what children and parents need than someone who has years of experience? Carol and Roy Haynes, owners of Kiddie Academy of Reynoldsburg, Ohio are perfect examples of this trend.
Carol Haynes is passionate about children, which is evident in all facets of her life. When Carol’s grandson was born, she researched options for quality childcare that met the needs of working families. To her surprise, she found nothing. It was during that time that Carol felt a responsibility to strengthen childcare in her community. With a strong background in education, real estate, pediatric nursing and senior management, Carol and Roy decided to embark on an adventure in the childcare industry. They chose Kiddie Academy for their “family” feel and support of franchisees.
The Haynes opened their Kiddie Academy franchise in December, 2011. Their love for all things community has led them to owning a successful and heartfelt franchise. Their Kiddie Academy franchise is thriving thanks to their hard work and dedication.
Carol finds that running a franchise business has made her career come full circle. She has made an impact in her community, as she finds that staff and parents whom she coached years before are now bringing their families to Kiddie Academy…a true testament to Carol’s character!
